About Ulah

Perusing through testimonials and photographs one can see Ulah is not your stereo-typical belly dancer. Her shows are very theatrical, joyous and energizing. Ulah will bring much fun and excitement to your event. Comments from those who have experienced belly dancers previously show that Ulah has surpassed their expectations of belly dance entertainment.

Ulah is a unique belly dance entertainer in that her show theatrics, sometimes strong, sometimes shy, mostly cheeky will make you feel elated. Her spirit will conjure up a festive atmosphere your guests will thoroughly enjoy.

One experiences a dynamic kaleidoscope of dance utilizing veil, zils (finger cymbals), sword, stick and drum solo numbers. Ulah takes the audience back in time through a sensual and exciting show inspired by a bygone era of richness, mystery and a feel for the hidden treasure that belly dancing once was.

A refreshing point of difference is that Ulah designs her costumes based on the earliest records of dancers from the Middle East, being superb paintings and etchings mostly done by European artists.

These artists were inspired and memorised by the dancers and the opulence of their traditional dress, adornments and surroundings. Ulah incorporates lush materials, trims, genuine coins and authentic jewellery made typically by Afghan tribal people. Accordingly her presentation alone is unexpected and exotic.

If you would like a belly dance performer with a large dose of charisma to liven up your event, if you wish to create a memorable experience for the guest of honour/birthday girl/boy etc. and heighten the morale of your guests, you have certainly found what you are looking for in Ulah.
